It's always just another day for GTA in LA for Ricky "The Tow Thug" Martinez! Shown in videos here and on this page is Richard Michael Martinez and his Henchman, Ruben Robles, surrounding a victim like rabid dogs, seeking to intimidate the poor soul. In one video you can see the thug employee give the middle finger as he drives away in the tow truck. In another video Ricky drives in the wrong lane of traffic directly at another victim. When people go to Ricky's Ransom Yard at 1736 Albion Street to try to retrieve their stolen cars by paying the ransom, they are liable to be surrounded, harassed, and intimidated like the drivers in these videos.

Unpermitted rogue tow business in Los Angeles. LAPD seem to just let him do whatever he wants. Because he cannot legally tow a vehicle given that he doesn't have any of the required Los Angeles Police Commission permits (P287 Tow Operation & P685 Tow Operator), every single car he tows is another GTA. Ricky's just out there making his mother proud.

This video is Ricky's Toledo Towing Service, Inc., attempting to steal a car on a Tuesday night. The good samaritan sitting on the hood of the car was just walking by when he realized what these rogue tow thugs were doing. He jumped on the hood as these thugs are trying to tow the legally parked van. The shirtless driver/thug is saying it is blocking a gate and that there are posted no parking signs. This happened on a Tuesday. The signs say Thursday (two days later). There is clearly no gate.

Note: Only Official Police Garages (OPGs) contracted with the City of Los Angeles can ever tow a vehicle from a public street, and only then at the express direction of a city employee. Richard Martinez does not have an OPG contract.
